Memory Care at Dimensions Living

Although a large part of caring for a loved one at home is emotional support, caregivers must also provide physical help and companionship when possible. Memory loss places those who suffer from it at higher risk of injury because they might forget instructions or even lose their sense of balance. Providing at home care can be complicated and overwhelming, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

We designed memory care at Dimensions Living to support each resident to recognize their limitations and honor their personal experiences while providing an excellent environment catered to seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Our licensed and certified team members thoughtfully work with individuals and their families to understand memory loss and dementia’s challenges and help them feel safe and at home.

What is Memory Care?

Caring for a loved one with a dementia-related disease like Alzheimer’s can be difficult, and finding ways to stimulate them can be challenging. Although they may have memory-related challenges, their preferences stay the same. To maintain and enhance individuals’ abilities, we encourage a comfortable and structured program of activity, seven days a week, with a minimum of six programs per day.

We offer stimulating brain games and morning mental workouts to encourage reminiscing. Daily physical activities and life skill lessons are encouraged to provide a sense of purpose both individually and in a group setting. Our skilled team works with each individual to design a program that uses social history to honor past interests.

Features of Memory Care Communities

When someone you love is dealing with memory loss doesn’t mean they should have to give up their quality of life. Our residents spend their days surrounded by people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and maintain their current skills through daily engagement. From a warm, welcoming atmosphere with person-centered care to enriching activities that provide a gentle daily structure, our highly-trained team strives to provide quality service to help each resident experience a full life.

Our community has 24-hour secured doors and doorbells at the entrances and exits to help maintain peace of mind and an enclosed courtyard to allow residents to explore the outdoors while remaining safe in the community. We understand and embrace the importance of being active, and for our memory care residents to thrive, their needs are paramount, and their sense of self is our team’s top priority.
